Is it beneficial, cost effective and worth while?

Having all you computing requirements and activities done at home on old machines, dev boards and containers is the aim here.  This is the start of an experiment of getting computing requirement running at home which includes web site, git and web applications.

This is what I am most excited about. Having a PostgreSQL running and accessible remotely. I recently played around with this database and slowly used it more often over MariaDB/MySQL. Now this database iis going to hold my data to play with analytics.

First server up is an old Dell computer and now running this blog site with Drupal 10. A simple light weight Drupal with only core modules (well so far) to serve simple short blog posts.

Having codes on github has always been the best way to control codes but not able to create more private repository is becoming a challenge. This @home experiment may work out with Gitea running on docker with Ubuntu.
